We are adopting best practise to ensure that the accommodation meets the highest standards of cleanliness.  We will be following the PASC/ASSC cleaning protocols (see details below) which comprise of a deep clean as normal followed by a disinfection of the cottage/bedroom, paying particular attention to the flat surfaces and high touch points such as light switches, door and window catches, bannisters, remote controls and keys.

In addition we are taking the following measures:

Barn

  1. Staff cleaning protocols and ticklist, signed and dated for each turnaround
  2. There will be a Covid care kit provided comprising of hand sanitiser, gloves, masks and anti viral surface wipes.
  3. There will be septic tank friendly disinfectant ready to use in spray form in the barn
  4. Bedding (duvets and pillows) and soft furnishings will be rotated between guests
  5. Games will be removed but available on request
  6. Hot tubs will be cleaned as usual between guests and sanitised
  7. Meet and Greet will be remote.  The barn will be left open as usual and there is now a digital guest book which will mean all literature can be removed from the barn
  8. The welcome pack as been temporarily suspended

B&B Rooms

  1. Only one of the two rooms will be let at any time
  2. Minimum stay 3 days
  3. Once guests leave the room will stand empty for 72 hours
  4. Thorough cleaning protocol similar to Barn above.

Cleaning Protocols For Corner Farm Barn and B&B rooms where appropriate

  • You will be provided with disposable gloves and aprons for use during changeovers. While wearing a mask is not a requirement, we will happily provide masks if you feel more comfortable wearing one during changeovers.
  • First open all windows (if guests have not already left them open)
  • Guests have been asked to load dishwashers, but not empty them. Remaining crockery/cutlery etc should be rewashed between guests.  This can be achieved with clean plates/cutlery being rewashed in hot soapy water
  • Guests have been asked to strip beds and empty all bins and recycling outside, and this will have been removed before cleaning takes place. If beds have not been stripped, take care to remove bedding with as little flapping about of linen as possible, to minimise the risk of airborne virus.  Gloves should be changed between stripping used linen and applying fresh linen.
  • Cleaning is now a 2-part process. Our usual deep clean, followed by a disinfecting stage.  After the usual clean, all flat surfaces need to be cleaned down again with disinfectant (Peritab solution), which should be wiped down with disposable cloths.  Please make sure particular attention has been made to frequent touch points (light switches, window and door handles, rails, bannisters, keys, remote controls etc.  Also kitchen equipment, including condiments, kettles, toasters etc.
  • Please use the attached ticklist to ensure that no areas have been forgotten
